  • How should we select a CCS1 current configuration from 125A to 400A?

    Start with the charger’s required current, voltage, and expected operating profile rather than selecting the highest available rating. Available configurations include 125A, 150A, 200A, 250A, 300A, 380A, and 400A. Cable length, conductor specification, duty cycle, ambient temperature, and charger thermal design should also be reviewed before confirming the configuration.

  • What should be checked when replacing an existing CCS1 or Type 1 cable assembly?

    Replacing an existing cable assembly requires more than matching the charging interface. The electrical rating, cable specifications, equipment-side termination, signal wiring, dimensions, and charger control design should be compared with the existing product. Drawings and samples should be reviewed before approving the replacement, together with any impact on the certification of the complete charging equipment.

  • How should we choose between the Type 1 AC Connector G1.0 and G2.0?

    Choose first according to the required current. G1.0 is available in 16A, 32A, 40A, and 48A configurations, while G2.0 covers requirements from 16A to 80A.
